As a Processor I, Insurance Operations at Assurely, you will perform administrative and underwriting support functions for the organization, reporting directly to the Manager, Insurance Operations. Your role will work closely with the Client / Advisory team to achieve and sustain the production, quality, and service goals of the department. Other primary responsibilities include project work.
This is an entry-level position that offers a unique opportunity for growth and skill development in the insurance start-up space. Responsibilities
Customer Service Support: Monitor and respond to basic inquiries from clients, agents, or other departments via phone or email. Direct requests accordingly.
Administrative Support: perform insurance administrative tasks such as data entry, document verification, filing/copying/scanning, and other underwriting support functions as needed.
Billing / Invoicing Assistance: Provide support for billing and collection activities, including invoicing and payment processing.
Document Management: Organize and maintain business and policy files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
Process Improvement: Actively participant in ongoing efforts to create new operational processes and efficiencies and suggest improvements of pre-existing ones.
Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
Entry-level position; previous administrative or customer service experience is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision through transactional tasks.
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills; shown obsession with hitting deadlines and goals.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Enthusiasm for the insurance industry and willingness to learn and grow.
Ability to work independently with direction as well as part of a diverse team.
Customer-centric. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and willingness to learn new software.
Nice to haves
Insurance licensing
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or another related field.
Prior work experience in the insurance sector, in operations, claims, customer service, or sales.
