PR/Social Media Intern
Assurely is the next generation of insurance. We are a technology platform that insures new and changing industries. Our first product, CrowdProtector, works specifically with companies using technology and the internet to raise money.
The PR/Social Media Intern role will be working with Assurely’s Head of Marketing and Communications to help create visual concepts for multi-functional marketing and communication materials
You will be part of building the design concepts for an exciting and funded New York based FinTech company.
Primary Responsibilities include:
Assist in managing day to day social media presence across platforms including Twitter and LinkedIn.
Schedule and write social media posts, create links, and optimize SEO.
Assist in generation and management of content calendar.
Post on the website and social platforms according to the content calendar; engage with followers and influencers to help grow the community.
Contribute to the development of ideas and the generation of communications initiatives that will help grow Assurely’s social presence.
Utilize social platforms as a way to identify new influencers, media, and groups to engage.
Research, develop and manage media contact lists and editorial calendars.
Help draft press releases, blogs and other marketing material for campaigns
Track social media analytics and online coverage.
Administrative support as needed
Online/social media savvy
Possess strong organizational skills
Self-motivated and able to take initiative
Detail oriented and thorough in follow-up
Ability to multi-task
Strong communications and writing skills
Interest and some experience in graphic design a HUGE plus
At least 1 prior PR or social media internship preferred
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in a relevant field such as communications, journalism, digital communications, marketing, public relations, etc.
