Business Development Associate
Assurely is a nex-gen insurance company. We create and customize insurance products for emerging, disruptive, and highly transformative marketplaces. Assurely then directly distributes the appropriate risk products specific to each insured. We are modernizing the accessing, underwriting, transferring, and managing of risk aka insurance.
The Business Development Associate is primarily a sales position reporting to the Head of Platform Growth. The primary responsibilities are to drive business development efforts in Assurely’s focused market segments and to support additional growth needs when appropriate. The Business Development Associate position is a role that anticipates upward movement into a larger role.
A self-motivated, entrepreneurial spirit with excellent organization and a habit of assiduity
1-3+ years of experience in insurance brokerage, carrier, or a related insurance business sales and/or account management position (experience is agnostic to SMB, middle-market, and enterprise customers)
Demonstrates an ability to build strong working relationships both internally and externally and a commitment to coming through for people
Demonstrates a logical, rational approach to tackling new ideas, sorting information, and discovering creative solutions as problems are presented
High potential for upward movement and a likelihood to develop and grow a diversified set of skills
Current insurance licensing
Experience with multiple lines of insurance coverage
Demonstrate technical knowledge necessary to communicate Assurely product and technology solutions effectively
Achieve new business sales and product expansion goals within Assurely’s target market of companies and partners on a quarterly basis
Facilitate the necessary insurance operations and customer service objectives as directed by the Head of Platform Growth
Develop and form new relationships with insurance carrier and MGA partners
Update and improve internal information management systems
Be a disciplined champion of the Assurely culture and brand with external and internal partners, vendors, clients, and colleagues
